since 2019
Our effort started during (2019) , with Ranipatna Blind School, Balasore in a small town in Orissa. Dr. Gita’s parents introduced Dr. Gita to this noble cause for more than twenty years ago. The school is a residential school for visually and finacially challenged students from grades 1-10. Each year about 10-15 students graduate from this school, but 90% of them discontinued their studies and lost any hope of getting support for pursuing their future studies.
In 2019, Gita and her family/friends started providing financial assistance for limited numbers of graduates of the school to attend college. Fortunately, now with all of the effort from several friends, the success rate of higher education has turned to be more than 90% for this school, as well as many more students are getting supported across Orissa.
